MapSwitch also offers a WAZE Maps feature. Users can opt for Waze navigation by configuring the extension to redirect links to the Waze Navigation App. In addition, MapSwitch includes a dark mode feature that complies with AAA standards for contrast accessibility when Dark Mode is enabled.
With MapSwitch, opening Apple Maps directly for searches is effortless. By prefixing searches with "amm" or "amaps," users can automatically initiate searches in Apple Maps. For instance, typing "amaps martial arts" will look for nearby martial arts studios, while "amaps sushi" will locate sushi restaurants in Apple Maps.
To begin utilizing MapSwitch, users need to enable the extension in their device settings under Safari Extensions. A video tutorial within the application offers guidance on getting started.
